IELTS General Unsolved Formal Letters – 1

General Training Writing has a letter for Task 1. This letter can be of formal, informal and semi-formal format. Given below are some unsolved letters. The relative weightage of Task 1 is for 3 bands. www.ielts.org

Question 1:

You missed an international flight due to a problem at the airport.

Write a letter to the airline. In your letter:

  • Describe what happened that caused you to miss your flight
  • Explain how missing your flight impacted you
  • Clearly state what you would like the airline to do
