Schools should stop using books for teaching children as they find them boring, and use films, TV and computers instead. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To what extent do you agree with this?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this technological era, computers have penetrated every aspect of our lives including the way we teach and learn. A faction of the society has gone further and thinks that books should be abandoned completely in the favour of these machines and other media forms. I totally advocate their point of view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To begin with, it is undeniable that the using of computers and other media forms in the classroom would enrich the teaching process and make it more interactive and fun. For example, computers can be used for writing assignments and other classroom activities which are interactive and easy to correct by teachers. In addition, computers provide a visual representation of information and make it easy for students to learn and remember it. Therefore, it is understandable why many people believe that books should be replaced with videos, films and computers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from it, computers have proven their mettle during the recent pandemic. Had it not been these machines, our entire education system would have collapsed and more than two billion people across the planet would have been affected. Computers, internet and media were the saviours during these testing times. When the pandemic started, people were of the opinion that it would be impossible to replace traditional methods of teaching and the best option would be to shut schools, but as the pandemic extended everyone started using these technological gadgets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, it is true that the usage of computers and other means of media is necessary in schools nowadays. To be global students and teachers we have to change the orthodox methods of teaching and learning and embrace these futuristic modes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
